Two widely known English-language twisters are "She sells sea shells beside the seashore" and one beginning "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers." Some are more difficult to enunciate- "The sixth sheik's sixth sheep's sick." Why teach tongue twisters? In addition to being generally amusing and entertaining, particularly for children, tongue twisters also develop pronunciation skills and language awareness. For children struggling with particular sound combinations, tongue twisters can be a fun way to practice the troublesome
